Hello, dear visitor. Thanks for taking your time to dig around our website. Unfortunately (or not), the Plastia Park you just learnt about is not real. But unfortunately (without a doubt), the Great Pacific Garbage Patch is as real as you and I. Everything you read about it are facts. 100% true.

The pictures displayed are not from the actual site; most of them are from polluted coastal regions. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is mostly formed by microparticules of plastic, which are not as easy to see, but much more dangerous. We used those pictures for impact purposes, although the reality, regardless of it's visibility, is much worse. You can read more about this here.

Why did you want to visit the garbage patch? There are so many reasons we would want to, too; but maybe the most interesting thing to do is wonder what about it is so attractive. We already have our theories, and would love to discuss them with you.

Our intention was to hypervisibilize something we believe is still too invisible: trash. Our trash. Because we're drowning in it. And if you made it here, it means we somehow accomplished our goal. Now we hope you do something about it too.

Thank you for your interest.

We'd love to continue the conversation:
